Geenet Mobile ceased operations on 31 December 2025. Geenet was an MVNO on the M1 network from 2020, and pioneered combined Wi-Fi + mobile packages for dormitory residents in Singapore. As part of its wind-down, active mobile lines were migrated to Maxx (M1's digital brand) on 6 November 2025 — no SIM change needed, numbers preserved, and Maxx offered an extra 50GB with every top-up for up to 12 months. Customers who opted out could port to any provider until the shutdown date.
